課程概述 |
Almost every company nowadays has impemented computer-based accounting information systems (AIS). This course is designed to enable students to obtain necessary knowledge to serve as a competent accoutant in such a business environment. The major contents of this course include the architecture, applicable information technology, internal control, and business processes of accounting information systems (AIS).

課程目標 |
After taking this course, students should understand:
1. the conceptual framework and managerial implications of an AIS.
2. how an AIS uses database technology.
3. how to represent an AIS by using graphical tools.
4. various controls that should be present in an AIS.
5. the procedures, organizational functions, decision-making, information flows, and important controls embedded in various business processes.
6. the characteristics and functions of ERP systems.

課程要求 |
This cource will consist of instructor’s lectures and computer lab sessions. The instructor will discuss core concepts in the textbook and lead computer labs. The computer lab practices will cover VISIO, ACCESS, and SAP B1. Due to time limit, the instructors will not be able to discuss the text paragraph by paragraph. Therefore students should study the text materials for the details. All materials in the textbook can be included in the exam. In addition, students are required to complete several computer assignments. All assignments should be turn in on time. Absolutely no late assignments will be accepted. |
